Drifting Through Suburbia explores my summers at home in the Chicago suburbs.
It is a place filled with precious memories, the love of family, and quiet pockets of natural beauty. But it is also where I returned to during transitional periods of adulthood – moments when I felt uncertain about my future.
These paintings are homages to those moments. They hold both the peace, tenderness, and beauty of the landscapes around me and the conflicting emotions I carried through them.
Swirling violets, muted blues, and warm light merge in a dreamlike landscape that feels both intimate and expansive. Ocean’s Embrace explores fear, ambition, and the quiet persistence of nature’s beauty.
