About:
Constellations are often named after living creatures. What if there was a solar system where stars were not giant spheres of burning gas, but glowing renditions of the figures they were named after? Free to tread the skies as they saw fit, the system’s planets would have no choice but to adapt to their capricious light sources.
I created one such planet in Into the Midnight Realm. Often enduring weeks of darkness, its vegetation evolved to sport faintly glowing bioluminescent moss, and its residents grew enormous, light-hungry eyes to capture whatever glimmers they could.
Luckily, at this moment, a wandering star has become intrigued by this lonely planet, giving its inhabitants a rare respite from the gloom.
